MAC LE eyeshadow palette The Monster's Bride

A short swatching of the LE MAC eyeshadow palette: The Monster's Bride in case you're interested in the individual colors.

MAC The Mnster's Bride

All colors (except for the toxic green) can be used daily.

Colors on the left, from top to bottom:
- Mylar - almost white beige, perfect for highlighting on fair skin
- Bitter - intense neon green, a little more green than the highlighter pen
- Brun - neutral dark brown

Colors on the right, from top to bottom:
- Omega- I'd say cappucino, nice all over color
- Club - green satin sheen added to brown that is lighter than Brun
- Carbon - well-know matt black

MAC Cream Color Base in Breaking Ground

Just a short swatching of MAC Cream Color Base in Breaking Ground. Color is described as "light iridescent mauve" and as a mauve-lover, I bought it.

These Cream Color Bases are multi-use items, meaning they can be used as lipcolor, blush, highlighter, under or over foundation, some can be worn even on eyelids. It depends on the color and what the box says. Not all colors can be used everywhere.
Actually, it's a shame but due to my crease-freak eyelids I never wear these as eyeshadows =(

Priced at 21 USD it is cheaper than other MAC blushes (powder or cream) plus it's versatile.
Not to mention that its pro version (sans the case, horray to mix&match palettes) costs only 14USD!!! Much better, huh?!

MAC Powder Blush in Next to Skin

For fair skinned gals who wish to achieve uber natural, barely there makeup I recommend: Powder Blush of MAC in Next to Skin.

It's quite light for a no-makeup look.

Do I need to say more?

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (Porcelain Pink)

Next up is a Mineralize Skinfinish from MAC and the color is Porcelain Pink.

I don't have much to say about this: part of the mineral group, thus the feeling and finish is different from your usual blush/powder.

The color is pinkish-peachy and is suitable for very fair-skinned girls. As you can see it gives a frosty finish.
I don't fancy using it as a swipe-over-your-face finishing touch but simply as a highlight and it works just fine.

10g of this powder sells for 30USD which is not cheap but I doubt I'll hit pan with this in a considerable time :D

MAC Powder Blush - Taupe Shape

I'm a really bad blogger. No updates for months, then suddenly I'm back and promising to update regularly, yet something comes up and I can throw my promises out the window. Even tho I have hundreds of stuff to review....I'm not kidding! I started to make a list to manage them easier. It's over 200 and sitll only half of what needs to be talk about. =.=

Lately, I've been having flying dreams and it means that one's creativity is neglected, something is holding you back. You don't like your job, or it's not showing your skills. You're capable of much more.
I really envy those who work in a creative field and they love & enjoy what they do. Sadly I don't. Thus, I have this blog to share my objective (or not) opinion about something I like: makeup.
Maybe this will satisfy my subconscious......?

Let's see my latest favourite item: MAC Powder Blush in Taupe Shape

It's nothing special, just a basic line blush, but I love it for countouring! Not too dark, not too yellow, just right for me!

The swatches came out quite shiny but it's not so bad once applied to your face. It has a satiny finish.
I really ought to have some phtograpy lessons LOL or just move farther the camera, but I olny have two hands..or one in this case....the other acting as a hand model =D
phew...it's hard work making makeup swatches....

Anyway, I like this shade, the only drawback is after the first few uses the top of the powder hardened/caked. I'm sure everyone has experienced this before. It's not unuseable, just disturbing. It shouldn't be like that.
I can scratch it off with my nails or something fitting, but 1) it's wasting of powder 2) it becomes the same in a short time.

Taupe Shape is part of the permanent collection of Powder Blushes and sells for $21. Taupe lovers will definitely love it!

Recommended piece! Everyone should have one in their stash!~

1300 dollars worth of haul, Kanebo Sensai Foundation & FOTD

First of all: an advise to those who happen to put their hands on a bigger chunk of money: Stay away from the internet!!! And most of all: online stores!

In the timespan of 3 months I spent over 2.000 dollars (I haven't counted every single stuff I bought, and to tell the truth, I'm afraid of to do so). That's incredibly much money, and for many-many people too, so I promise to review everything. Sooner or later, that is. *cough*looks away*

It's more than enough to know that all those things you see in the below photo costed a bit more than  1.300 USD! Holy shit! I tried to gather only stuffs I bought in December-January, but some February things got in the picture too.

(sorry quality is not the clearest in full size either, lighting sucks in my bedroom at night. to have a bit of idea of what's in the picture take a look at the tags)

Many of it came in that huge box, with the My American Shipper parcel forwarding service, so sorry for the mess :)
BTW, My American Shipper is my first experience of mail forwarding services. You know when online stores don't ship outside the US became terribly annoying? Or they set such high fees for international shipping that a trip to the Moon is cheaper.

Few words of My American Shipper:
-shipping fees are not so high like with other services
-first time you ship, the final rate you'll get is decreased by 35%
-they provide pictures of your incoming mails for free
-they send notifying emails when your orders arrive to their storage (however, after my 4th or 5th incoming box they gave up on me and I had to check to see if my stuffs arrived to them)
-customer service is good
-I didn't have to fill in the 1583 form since My American Shipper does not provide mail forwarding service and I'm sooo grateful for it, coz 1583 form is such a pain in the butt ( I don wanna go to the US consulate just for this!)
-they consolidate your packages (but before they are done with it you won't know how much you'll pay, coz they register only the incoming weight and that's a looooot more than what they'll actually ship out)
-they store your things for 45 days
-they are located in the state California, so you'll have to pay sales tax when paying for your orders
-no sign up fee

So, the above makeup and skin care stuffs were bought from either official brand stores, sasa, cherry culture, Gilt, Adambeauty, etc. Some were picked up at duty-free and some I bought on ebay.

You saw it right, Sasa.com! I had another "who's-the-scam-here" round with them, and this time I succeded to get them to change the payment from credit card to Paypal before they cancelled my order altogether....only for the sake of the Lancome Visionnaire cream. God, I'm so happy I didn't give up! *.* I tell you, Visionnaire is the Holy Grail! I can't live without it!

Finally! I own Making faces by Kevin Aucoin! bwahahahahhaha So cool! Thank you Gilt! I love you! *.*

And to review something, that became my HG foundation and picked up in Istambul, in the duty-free: Kanebo Sensai Fluid Finish

Color is FF202 Soft Beige

Description: "Deeply moisturising foundation with 55% water content. Sheathes the skin in a delicate veil of moisture to provide daylong hydration while imparting a silky, healthy-looking sheen to the surface. Apply sparingly over make-up base after double moisturising.

Foundation shades may differ depending on region."

Has SPF15 and holds 30ml of product, which seems less than other 30ml foundations....I'm already at the bottom, after 2,5 months! With other foundations a half year isn't enough to finish them!
If I remember correctly than it was 35 EUR, so not the cheapest foundation ever, but damn, this is on a whole different leven than the average foundations! Totally worth the money!

I love the bottle, so smooooooth! *.* The pump head works fine, you can control the amount of foundation to come out....if you push it carefully. If you're in a hurry, push it fast and hard, and the cap thinks otherwise, you might get foundation on your dress in stead of your brush! HAHA

The coverage is medium to full. The sparing application aids you with a medium coverage that looks super natural, and if you add a bit more, you'll get a natural looking almost/or total full coverage. Some seriously red acnes will break through in color eventually screaming for extra concealer, but this foundation in itself covers 85-90% of discoloration.

Click for the full size if you'd like to see the ingredients.

I love how it does not oxidize over time, or fade. It does hydrate my skin, but not causes my oily T-zone to work on overload making me an oil factory. The oily parts won't become dry deserts, but stay on the moderately oily side.
Did I mention that it has a super natural finish? No mask-like feature and I can't feel it on my skin either

For color sampling, the above pic is without flash. On the left side the foundation is blended a bit, but not entirely, so you can see the edges.
The below pic is with flash.

And now, something I've never done before, and I don't think it'll make a usual spot for this blog in the future:
..........
*drumroll*
..........
bare face
..........
holy shit!!!!

Comparison photo:
left side is with Sensai Fluid Finish and concealer
right side is totally bare face, nothing used but skincare

horror movie! XD Let me tell you, that darkness around the eyes is quite lightened now!^^ Add to this 365167356253682138615 shades more of black and double it, that is the original horrible darkness I sport around my eyes! HAHA

BTW, sorry for the hair, it was half-dried at the time of the shot!

And this is the finished FOTD
Without flash on the left and with flash on the right.
Okay, this isn't the same angle, but I made the collage from this set of photos coz I wanted to show the blush too. >.<

MAC Wonder Woman Lustre lipstick & Essence Fairy Tale Eyeliner Pencil

I'm not sure if MAC stores still carry the Wonder woman collection, but about 2 weeks ago or so the store nearest to me still had it. However, I wonder what was left of it by then.....imagine, the week, when the new Lady Gaga lippies came out I went to pick up the lipstick (not because I need one more, but it's just such a pretty color...duh)....and it was sold out already! 4 days! All it took the bitches, 4 days! Argh...they only had the lipgloss, which was pretty and all, but I wanted the lipstick T_T

Anway, back to Wonder Woman. The only item I found worth of my money was this liplustre: Marquise'D.
(BTW the shadow quads were utter crap)

As for the packaging, to me it looks like a child's play.
The color could be a nice neutral beige if not leaning into warm thanks to the golden flecks you can see below.

Texture is creamy and non-drying....it's lustre, right :)

Overall, I like it a lot, even tho it costed me ~25.50 USD

Since I have billions of items to write a review on, I'm featuring 2 things in one post. The following product is from an inexpensive drugstore brand I'm obsessed with.
Yes, Essence! Again....I think I'm sick. I really should say no whenever a new trend editions comes out. They re-use the leftover from previous collections, sometimes hardly altering them, except for the packaging. And just who wants to have doubles, triples, etc. in different cases? Not me. Yet I keep on buying them. >_>;
So, below is the only eyepencil from the late collection: Fairytale. (It was quite a pretty edition, I tell you!^^)

Is it sparkly like the rest of the collection? No. It's a mere black eyeliner pencil! Sporting the LE design. Cheating!

In the picture: one line (bottom) and 2 or 3 lines layered (top).
Nothing spectacular, not even a decent colored black eyeliner, not to mention its smudging. It will not stay in place even for a half hour.
Not worth the 3.50 or 4 USD I paid for it. (forgot its price)

MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer

I should have written this review like aeons ago, yet I just gotten to it now.
In my endless search for the perfect concealer (that covers horrible dark circles and fights the shadow of my glasses at the same time) I reached for MAC too. Of course. HEHE

When the SA matched me ( last fall I think...it's almost a year!) I thought I found the Holy Grail. She then warned me that the texture was thick thus I should lighten it up with eye cream or any moisturizer, plus, mix it with my foundation too. It was quite a weird idea to do all these things to make the concealer work, but I thought she was the expert, then bow my head.
Bad, baaaaad idea!
Before I let you know why it was a bad idea, see what the concealer is like:

A lightweight, creamy, discreetly opaque concealer. Provides a smooth, long-wearing invisible coverage for all skin blemishes. Water-resistant, fragrance-free and non-acnegenic. This emollient-based, lightweight concealer is so concentrated that a tiny amount can provide opaque coverage of the skin's imperfections and discolourations. It effectively covers dark circles, blemishes, moles, tattoos and birthmarks. Enriched with antioxidants (derivatives of Vitamin A and Vitamin E), it also contains Silica to help adsorb the skin's oils. Concealer has an SPF of 35 and is available in a wide range of colours. It can be applied with a medium to firm fiber brush (try the 242 Brush), a latex sponge, or the fingertips.

"Lightweight"? Bwahahaha
Well, If I applied the same amount as the SA, then the concealer was so heavy that it sat into the fine lines and created frightening white stripes! Yuck! And I haven't even mixed with moisturizer!
I found out it was best to use a veeeeery little amount on dry(!) skin. Not desert dry, but...close....let the eye cream absorb completely.
This way there is minimal creasing and it can't really be seen. In addition, you pat it away with your figertips once and they are gone.

[Sorry for not being able to present an untouched concealer! >.<]

The covering power is good, quite good. It's NW25 and I still find it too yellow, but blended right it's perfect and doesn't make my undereye area ashy like other lighter and pink undertoned concealers do behind my glasses.

To show its coverage I drew a black line with eyeliner.

Sample line:

Concealed line and an extra blot for color comparison:

Yes, the upper half of the line is almost invisible^^ About the same length of line is concealed as what still can be seen.
Quite good IMHO.

What's happening?

I moved. I've kinda settled in, in the process of learning the city....(got lost 2 times already LOL)

Before moving I had my hair cut:

Zombie face~~~
Look at that bumpy potato nose! X_X

And yes, those are my beloved dark circles....Where the concealer started to fade (around/under the tear ducts) they show up >_<
Imagine it as a whole half-circle when not covered up.

As I have way too much stuffs on my review list, I'll make a quick one right now for my ever first MAC single eyeshadow.

I don't remember when I bought it, but I use it weekly.

Color is Patina:

It's a taupe brown with golden pearl and frosty finish.
At the store I remember there was a greenish cast to it, like the golden sheen, but their lightning must be special, as ever since then I wasn't able to catch the same color...under all kind of lightning types.

It looks such a boring color, right?

But it isn't! I like it a lot~

Texture wise it's good. Easy to blend, no or minor fall out (depends on the good or lousy brush I use). No fading, and stays creaseless for 5-6 hours, sometimes more or less. I couldn't find out what causes it. (I never wear bases)
But I don't have to tell all this, right? I think everyone should own at least one MAC eye product.

I visited the MAC store Yesterday (it's fairily close to where I live =D) and wanted to try the two Viva Glam lipsticks (Gaga and Cindy), but of course they didn't have them @_@

Thus I swatched what I could....like the Spring Colour Forecast Shadow quads.
I'd say only #4 worths mentioning.

All four colors have a buttery touch, with great color payoff. Each the same consistency, shiny-pearly finish. Even tho they are too yellowish for my taste and skintone, I was drooling over it.....until I saw the price HAHA

#3 was tempting, until I swatched it.

Purples are always a good shot, and the top two colours (Mink Pink and Bruised Plum) looked good with even coverage and nice touch, while the bottom two, darker colors (Black Tulip and Jungle Moon) were...I dare say....scratchy! No even color, or same texture.....totally not worth the money! Too bad, ruining the palette T_T

Words, words and words....

Hey hoy! I'm back!
I've been a bad-baaaad blogger, right? I'm gonna be a good girl from now on....at least I will try HEHE
School started and I'm exhausted. I have to write a diploma work yet again (in 1,5 months, and I don't know what to write in it) while attending stupid and boring classes, with youngsters. Me being an old hag among them is uncomfortable anyway, and the fact that classes start at 8am every day doesn't help a bit!
I'm so deadly tired!

And I have to attend English language lessons too! For what, I don't know! Damned regulations work differently than before. >_> It's such a meaningless class! They learn nothing, just babbling single words like they were sentences. And the teacher.....her pronunciation sucks big time. I dare say even mine is better, even tho I haven't speaked a word in English for years, and not much before that either @_@

Nah, enough of my ranting! I'm back to dorm, with worse lighting to take photos. But I left my cam at home coincidentally! Thankfully I made lots of photos before, with the new "borrowed" cam. I'm gonna use them for a while...

I got a package form Dan, which I still need to take pics of! Thank you BBFF! ^__^ I'll show everything from the pack!

And another surprise awaited me! I got another sample of Cellnique Skin Action Sebum Gel. What the hell?! How? And Why?
There was no explanation, whatsoever attached. Did they hear my prayer? Or read my blog?
Hmm anyway, I'm so happy to receive it! ^.^

I look around the beauty blogs and see what? MACMACMAC! WTF? I'm kinda fed up with their releases....They have just a few interesting colors, but nothing spectacular.
The only item poking my head is that duo blush that fades from one color to the other. You know which one! That, I'd like to cart home for a date! =)

I promise to come back with proper reviews and also reply the comments I haven't done so!
Until then,
<3

FOTD

I tend to come up with pretty lame titles, right? HAHA

You know, I like reading. After Harry Potter (oh yeah, I'm a fan LOL) I took a break..until the Twilight saga. Finishing all four books (in like a week) I craved for more and got hooked on urban fantasy books.
As I'm fed up sitting in front of my laptop staring at .PDF books, I wanted to buy real books. You now, in physical form. It's waaaay more comfortable to hold that sacred paper in your hands!^^

The other day I stumbled upon half.com! OMIGOD! It's like Heaven! I was hauling madly, thinking "okay, there's ground shipping, but at checkout I'll get more summed up for international" For dirt cheap I accumulated tons of books (okay, not tons, but a lot LOL)....
Imagine my horror when I found out it was a US ONLY shop. damndamndamndamn!

Thus, finally, I got myself introduced to parcel/mail forwarding aka concierge services. I visited quite a lot pages, lemming the prices, trustworthiness, look of the page, etc.
I have to say, this service is pricey! Okay, considering how many brands I'd like put on my hands while huge sales, it's still cheaper. But ATM I'm not gonna fork out 40-50 bucks only for shipping....Plus monthly fees, consolidation, sometimes handling fee per package and so on.
Not to mention custom taxes since it's import and these companies ain't write lower amount on the box just becoz I'm asking nicely.
If my complete order is some housand dollars, then I'm likely to pay duty fees too @_@

Until I have a job I won't use this service....

Good news is I'm going to job interviews Tomorrow. To the ministry. Two interviews. And hopefully one job LOL I sooooo want to be the one they choose! T_T

And now, onto today's "no foundation" FOTD:

wow I'm smiling! bwahahahahhaah
Please, excuse my messy hair! ˇ.ˇ

Face:

Eyes:

My giveaway prize & FOTD & Bourjois swatches

First of all, the book I won arrived Today! YEY! Previously I mentioned that I had won a book giveaway on Aik's blog!

mmmm Can't wait to start reading it! But first I want to finish the one I'm reading ATM.
It's actually a signed copy! And came directly from the author, Dakota Banks!

Thank you miss Banks! ^.^

----------------------------------------------------------------

As I went out Today for some shopping (and I mean beauty shopping), and dear Sun cooperated, I took some photos of my makeup:

The weather is snowy and it's friggin' freezing outside, so I went for a cold-ish look.

FACE: Skin79 BB cream Diamond Collection Luminous Pearl
            Sofina Primavista Clear Cover Base
            Kevin Beautymaker Magic Foundation Pen
            RMK Liquid foundation
            NYX Concealer in a jar
            MAC Studio Finish Concealer

CHEEKS: Oriflame Giordani Gold Mosaic Splendor Powder
Oriflame Visions Pearl Shimmer Poder for Face

EYES: I Nuovi metallogy eyeshadows (Champagne and Oxide)
            KATE Gel Eyeliner
            L'Oreal Accord Naturels (for eybrow)
            MUFE Aqua Smokey Eyes

LIPS: MAC Lipglass (Spirited)

Sooo, bought some stuffs at Müller that I'm not showing here as they are presents, and took the chance to swatch a few things.....and I have photos too! wooow My first attempt at swatching in store! LOL The SAs didn't even care about me. Maybe next time I won't be this lucky.

At first I wanted to swatch the eyeshadow quad of Guerlain's spring collection, but it wasn't there. Maybe it's not supposed to be at counters yet? But the plate with with stock photos and all was up, so where was the actual product? o_O
Thus I swatched the new Kiss Kiss glosses, but didn't make notes of the numbers, as it was labeled as new shades. And here at home, checking the Guerlain site I can't find what were those shades....
No, they weren't the pretty lacy Xmas edition ones.
Stupid me! I should have had to write down the numbers! X_X

BUT! I did some work and swatched almost all of the Bourjois Smoky Eyeshadow Trios!

The ones on my hand: Gris Dandy, Mordore Chic, Rose Vintage, Violet romantic, Bleu Rock, Vert Trendy (From top to bottom, left to right):

The colors came out so crappy! And washed out! So sorry! Wish I could show you how the last two trios (Bleu Rock and Vert Trendy) looks in real life!!!!
As I started swatching the first ones, I almost lost all hope that these worthed a penny, but damn! The blue and green trios are so awesome! Never seen anything like them! *____*
I tell you, if you have a chance, go and see for yourself!
I usually restrain myself from this two colors, but daaaamn! I'm so gonna buy these!

Bleu Rock and Vert Trendy have some golden/green/blue sheen to them, under the main color. Think of....uhm butterfly? You know, those exciting, mixing colors on their wings!?
I was mesmerized!
They are ~£7.30 each (dunno the USD) and they well worth the money! At least the blue and green ones do. The other variations were either boring or sheer.

MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner SPF15

First post of 2010!
And to start this year well, I bring you my latest favourite product! I dare to say HG! wooo
MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner SPF15 in the color: Petting Pink

I know this is nothing new, probably everyone out there who loves MAC owns at least one of these conditioners, but since I fell in love with it I have to say a few words...right?

Don't pay attention to the L'Occitane sachets, those are another story! I'm lazy so didn't take a photo of only the balm, so yeah. Sorry!
Actually, when I stalked into the MAC store I had no intention to buy anything...But ended up with this against my wish! LOL

So, uhm let me share the story first!
The very first (and disastrous) visit @ MAC I haven't written about, but since it's very instructive it will follow soon. (I say this all the time. LOL)
So, there's this guy who looks like a security guard standing in the middle of the store who wasn'T there the last time I visited. Thought it was neccessary seeing a whole metropolitan flooding the mall. (You have to literally push people away to be able to walk)
So I stalked the farthest counter and started lemming the Magic, Mirth & Mischief collection (this didn't happen yesterday, you know). As I wasn't impressed and realized I basically had most of the colors above mentioned guy approached me. You can see my opinion on my face whether I say anything or not, so I think that's why he tried to talk me into one of the palettes.
It didn't go well, mostly becoz when he didn't talk to me he stared out of the store like I wasn't there! It turned out he was the stylist there. Dressed in black, but without the apron the MAC girls wear. Actually, the more I watched him the more he seemed gay....>.< And arrogant...

Since I got pissed off being not cared of I tried to keep the guy's attention. (weird tactics, i know) Talked about how it sucks there are no sales (not like there's any elsewhere), no VIP offers for returning customers, and it's still cheaper for me to shop online and get my stuffs mailed here from the other side of the world! #_#
So he said it's not sure yet, but there might be some specials for returning costumers next year aka 2010. HUH! I bet! Think he bluffed just to avoid the matter....

We went on and I settled on an eyebrow pencil (I'm in serious need of a new brow pencil or powder!) and it looked a matching color, but for 19.50!
Then I catched a glimpse of this small stand on the cashier counter, carrying little jars of eyepopping colors. Stormed to it and demanded to try one. LOL But since most of them seemed too strong (have you seen the fuscia one?) I picked the least vibrant one: Petting Pink. How cool is the name? ^_^

err here it looks an orangey coral, but it's a nice pink (the previous one is true to reality)

So in the store's lighting it looked like a fairy-princess-like pink sheen on my lips. Couldn't resist and asked for an unopened one. There was no need to linger there anymore, payed and floated away with a huge smile on my face and with $20.50 less on my account. LOL

Onto the actual product:

As you can it's pretty sheer, but I don't mind.

A protective emollient balm formulated with SPF 15, a sheer wash of colour and an all-natural sheen. Conditions lips, locks in moisture. Contains Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Extract, Wheat Germ Oil, vitamins A and E.
15ml (0.5 oz) for $14.50

I know a lot of you don't like to dip your fingers into the atcual material as it's not hygienic, but I don't mind. Not like I'd touch it with dirty hands anyway.

These pics were taken after I applied the conditioner on my flaky chapped lips! Good bye dryness! See? they look like well hydrated, healthy lips!
And the smell! ah the smell!!! Heavenly! I don't know if it's the almond or shea, maybe the avocado, but I know it's irresistibly sweet! And not just the scent! It tastes sweet too! ^.^

Having SPF too is topping the perfection! I have a feeling of prchasing more of this lip conditioner...and in more bold colors! =D

Congrats to those who read till this point! *claps*

[FAKE!!!OMG!!!!] MAC Cream Eyeshadow palette & EOTD & SimplyyJ Giveaway

Before anything, this is a picture heavy post, so be warned!

I happened to score a MAC palette on (my lovely, life saver) ebay for dirt cheap!
It's no new release, and beat me, but I don't know when this baby was born. The expiration date says 2012...so what does that mean? Very old?
Ah, I don't care!

Here is the sleek, black, soft touching case. Love it!^^ You can click on each pic to enlarge.

And the shadows with and without flash. Actually, I don't dare to use the sponge applicators. They are so soft, I pity them.

And the swatches, in order. I was afraid of the orange, but in fact it's a pretty golden-ish yellow. I use it mainly to add a sunny shine in the middle of my lid only, over a dark shadow.
The swatches were made with my fingertips. With brushes they are more sheer. And I found application easier with sponge type applicator, so I ad to purchase some more only for this palette.
I especially like the browns and the white. It's a nice highlighter under the brows.
The vivd blue at the bottom and the turquoise one looks horrible on me. Like I am a lousy whore from the '80s.....removed it immediately.

Here is an eye look I did with the palette, my first try:

White under the brows, pink on the inner side and pulled up and outward. And the two browns on the outer V and crease. Both blended well in every direction.

The darker purple was added on the outer part. Just a very little, and blended all over, to the inner side of the crease too.

The black shadow is supposed to be a liner, but it's hard to pick up on the liner brush on its own....I had to dampen the bristles before usage, and that's what I could achieve with it. Black is definitely the downfall of the palette.
On the lower lashes there is a brown (can't remember which one) and on top of it black to line.

Sorry for the many photos...but it's so interesting how different lightings can make shadows look totally different.
My eyebrows look too yellowy here, right? I should have darkened them >.<

Nah, that's it, enough of me.
These are cream shadows, but in fact they are not....rather silky and a bit buttery. Very nice. And they stand up against creasing quite well!
LOVELOVELOVE

EDIT: Thanks to eki and jojoba, i found out this is NOT an original MAC product! Thanks girls! Anyway, I don't mind, because it's excellent quality and was a great bargain. And those around me who are not makeup lovers still will be envious >=P
I need to do a lil study on old MAC stuffs, in case I'd stumble upon a good priced deal not from the current releases. I'm not too familiar with the older ones.
I'll be more cautious next time on ebay!
And you girls do so too!

And by now you might noticed I'm a fan of SimplyyJ. Okay, I never bought anything handmade from others, but the things I've seen so far didn't call out to me.
But not hers. I love them! ^.^ And am planning on buying more HEHE
Sooooo, she helds her first giveaway, so if you liked the stuffs I've shown before, check ot her blog and giveaway! ^.^

The prizes:

The two hearts pendant is my favourite! ^_^
