Bourjois Paris single eyeshadow swatches

Mostly swatces this time. I always wanted to try Bourjois Paris eyeshadows but never came across colors that called out to me or I just wasn't paying attention.

Well, the color #20 Prune Audacieux is very pretty.

In a tiny little case there's a tiny little mirror, a tiny little sponge brush and the eyeshadow which has satisfying pigmentation.

I have no idea why they thought that a mirror of that size should be placed inside. It's too small to be useful.
I really like this satiny berry-rose-prune color^^

Bourjois Express Eye Makeup Remover

Bourjois Express Eye Makeup Remover  is a two phase makeup remover, kind of like the famous Bi-facil by Lancome. Even the color of the liquid is similar. But is it as good as the muse?

Description: "BOURJOIS’ EXPRESS EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER removes all types of eye make-up, whether heavily pigmented or waterproof, with a single wipe!
Its fresh, non-greasy, two-phase formula gently cleans with the first wipe of the cotton pad.
- 1st phase: oils concentrated with cleansing agents to remove all make-up effortlessly, even waterproof!
- 2nd phase: the water phase leaves the skin feeling fresh, without any unpleasant greasy sensations
Tested under ophthalmological control, this formula protects the lashes, the delicate skin of the eyelids and the fragile rim around the eye."

Does it remove waterproof eye makeup? - Yes
Is it non-greasy? - No. It's like rubbing oil onto your skin. And not the nice way like cleansing oils do.
Does it clean easily, with the first wipe? - No, not even the non-waterproof stuff. Best trick is to keep the soaked cotton pad on your eye for a few minutes then start wiping. With some nasty hardcore waterproof mascara I had to rub it to get the mascara off.
Does it leave skin fresh, without greasy sensations? - No! It leaves a disgusting, filmsy oil residue, that you have to get off.
Was it tested under ophthalmological control? - Seriously? I doubt. If it was, this wouldn't have happened to me:

Do you see that huge bump? Now, that itched like hell and didn't want to go away. Its surface was scratchy and dry and the doc wasn't able to determinate what it was. She gave me an antibiotic cream which helped and the bump disappeared. Until I started to put on eye makeup again. As the doc said it was probably a reaction to a product I used on my eyes, except I didn't have any new stuff, so why was it happening all of a sudden?
I thought about checking the ingredients of everything I could and while I never paid attention to parabens I learned my lesson and will never forget.
Parabens never caused me any problem, and many stuffs I own have them. Even the expensive ones my skin loves.
But you know what? Express Eye Makeup Remover has only 12 ingredients and two of them are parabens (methyl and ethylparaben). And they aren't the last ones among the ingredients, so there's more of them than in other products that have 20-30 ingredients and parabens are on the end of the list.

The fact that using waterproof mascara every day which meant rubbing this shit into my eyes to remove it must have been the catalyst to having a "triple eyelid".

Many asian girls strive to have double eyelids instead of monolids, and here I am with triple eyelids! XDDDD

Now I'm completely off the stuff and have normal eyes again, but those days while I had to go to work with this alien egg were really stressful and humiliating! Imagine a girl with an eye double the size of the other eye tring to hide from the world >.>

The conclusion? If you want save yourself a horrible 2-3 weeks keep away from this makeup remover of Bourjois! ^.^

Note: Sorry for showing such bare and ugly pics of my eyes, but if I can help even one person falling victim to the Bourjois Liquid Devil then I'm relieved!

----------------------------------------------------------------

As I went out Today for some shopping (and I mean beauty shopping), and dear Sun cooperated, I took some photos of my makeup:

The weather is snowy and it's friggin' freezing outside, so I went for a cold-ish look.

FACE: Skin79 BB cream Diamond Collection Luminous Pearl
            Sofina Primavista Clear Cover Base
            Kevin Beautymaker Magic Foundation Pen
            RMK Liquid foundation
            NYX Concealer in a jar
            MAC Studio Finish Concealer

CHEEKS: Oriflame Giordani Gold Mosaic Splendor Powder
Oriflame Visions Pearl Shimmer Poder for Face

EYES: I Nuovi metallogy eyeshadows (Champagne and Oxide)
            KATE Gel Eyeliner
            L'Oreal Accord Naturels (for eybrow)
            MUFE Aqua Smokey Eyes

LIPS: MAC Lipglass (Spirited)

Sooo, bought some stuffs at Müller that I'm not showing here as they are presents, and took the chance to swatch a few things.....and I have photos too! wooow My first attempt at swatching in store! LOL The SAs didn't even care about me. Maybe next time I won't be this lucky.

At first I wanted to swatch the eyeshadow quad of Guerlain's spring collection, but it wasn't there. Maybe it's not supposed to be at counters yet? But the plate with with stock photos and all was up, so where was the actual product? o_O
Thus I swatched the new Kiss Kiss glosses, but didn't make notes of the numbers, as it was labeled as new shades. And here at home, checking the Guerlain site I can't find what were those shades....
No, they weren't the pretty lacy Xmas edition ones.
Stupid me! I should have had to write down the numbers! X_X

BUT! I did some work and swatched almost all of the Bourjois Smoky Eyeshadow Trios!

The ones on my hand: Gris Dandy, Mordore Chic, Rose Vintage, Violet romantic, Bleu Rock, Vert Trendy (From top to bottom, left to right):

The colors came out so crappy! And washed out! So sorry! Wish I could show you how the last two trios (Bleu Rock and Vert Trendy) looks in real life!!!!
As I started swatching the first ones, I almost lost all hope that these worthed a penny, but damn! The blue and green trios are so awesome! Never seen anything like them! *____*
I tell you, if you have a chance, go and see for yourself!
I usually restrain myself from this two colors, but daaaamn! I'm so gonna buy these!

Bleu Rock and Vert Trendy have some golden/green/blue sheen to them, under the main color. Think of....uhm butterfly? You know, those exciting, mixing colors on their wings!?
I was mesmerized!
They are ~£7.30 each (dunno the USD) and they well worth the money! At least the blue and green ones do. The other variations were either boring or sheer.

Bourjois Paris Sparkling Eyeliner (Regard Pailleté) #32. Brun Flamboyant

High time for a review of Bourjois' Sprakling Eyeliner aka Regard Pailleté that I mentioned in a previous post. The color is Brun flamboyant. A warm brown with golden sparkles.

I tried to catch the exact color on the photos, with not much success. In the left pic you can see the glitters, while the brown is a bit cooler. In the right pic the brown is more true to the color it turns in my eyelids. Now try to mix the colors in your head, please.

I was very pleased when I started using it. I expected it to be crappy quality, for the price of $7.5. I know it's not a widely accessable brand, but definitely a must try! It's good! At least this liner.

I tried the normal eyeliners too in the store, but they were super hard, and I almost scratched holes into my skin just to get the color to show up....@_@ Thus I went for these creamy eyeliners. Normally I wouldn't use glettery liners, but I wanted to try it.

Light up your eyes in dazzling colour with Regard Pailleté! The new soft, smooth and supple formula enriched with natural waxes, makes these pencils incredibly easy to apply, gliding gently over the eyelid.

It's indeed easy to apply and work with it due to it's softness. This means you can easily rub it off. So, don't rub your eyelids! You wouldn't, right? If you don't then it stays put for long-long hours without running or any other problem! Amazing!
You can try it on your lower lashline too, but I don't recommend. It stays there decently too, but some smearing is expected by time. My eyes tend to shred off everything from the lower lids, so this smearing was nothing unexpected.
One more thing, the glitters are a bit large for my liking. They are not huge, by any means, don't be afraid, I'm just someone who prefers sparkling stuffs to be hyper-super finely milled, to the extent you can't even see the particles.

Anyone, who's warm toned and has the chance to buy Bourjois things, I recommend this eyeliner. I can pull off neutral and cool toned makeup, warms are a bit off on me. Although, cool girls, let's experiment with warm eye makeup!
I'm incoherent...I should go to bed.
The end....

Cheapo mini hauls

For last weekend a friend of mine planned a beauty hunting trip, but of course it never happened. And here I was waiting for lemming the Shiseido, YLS and Guerlain counters. Oh well...
Since it's the beginning of term, I have like nothing left on my bank account, but I still went for a little shopping, buying only cheap stuffs.

First: a chocolate face mask. Hmm sounds good! It cost only $1.5....there was golden mask too, but I ended up with this, since it's edible! *cough*
There is a Bourjois Paris Sparkling Eyeliner too (Regard Pailleté, I think). I'll do a review for this.
Have anyone tasted this bubbling Granini with apple and cranberries? It's horrible! #_#

And some other: L'Oreal Nutri Bronze (self-tanning) Body Lotion, Helia-D body lotion for dry skin, two Essence sheet masks, two nail polishes and an Essence Lip Oil. Sheet masks and lip oil were 1.5USD each, polishes about $2. Lotions about $10. Most of these will get their own reviews too. Dirt cheap stuffs worth a blog entry, right? At least to say how crappy they are >_>
