Giveaway prizes! :3

I was the super lucky winner of Birkie's giveaway not long ago.
Check out the original prizes here...

And take a look at what I got:

Whaaa...kind of double, right? :) She put in a ton of extras!^^
I started to play with them and I'm going to feature them in the future.

[there were so many of them that I couldn't fit them on my 2nd fave towel as a background XD]

Again, thank you so much Birkie! <3

Stars Makeup Haven

2 posts in a week! What the hell?!??!? XD

Like billion years ago I won a giveaway on The Next Best Thing to Going Shopping Yourself aka TNBTGSY by Karlasugar, back in the days when not 2153461435614354 comments competed for the giveaway prize.

Back then my prize was 2 shadows of my own choice from the bunch she swatched for TNBTGSY. No. Wait. We had to write something about the colors, and based on these comments were the winners chosen. Sadly I don't remember what the topic was. #_#
The brand is Stars Makeup Haven

From left to right: Carnal Knowledge, Guilty a Sin, Rush Hour and Call a Treuse.

I bought two of the above shadows on my own, and these are Carnal Knowledge and Guilty as Sin.
All the colors (except Call a Treuse) are frosty, while Call a Treuse is a matte finish.

Carnal Knowledge is a nice neutral light brown/beige color, reminds me of cappucino or cafe au lait, however on the hand swatches below it looks kinda golden-ish @_@
Guilty as Sin is a mixture of baby and strawberry pink and is one of my favourite of the four.

LOL Sorry for the crappy photos! So blurry....

Rush hour is a beautiful light color. Even tho it looks mostly white on the pics, it has a minty green hue to it. My other favourite from the bunch.
Call a Treuse is the only matte finish color, and is an exciting toxic green color. Not one you can use everyday and without care of coordinating your look and outfit.

The pans came in these plastic holders, so they are basicly depotted (but if they never had a case they cannot be called depotted, right?...o.O) and you can put them into empty palettes. Now the single shadows have their own black plastic cases, with a star drawn on the lid, back in 2009 they seem to have no fancy packaging....
Do they fit MAC palettes? I'm not sure, but SMH sells empty palettes which fit MAC, SMH, UD, e.l.f. and God knows what, with a 26mm size for each shadow, so I think you can put these into your MAC palette if you have one.

The ingredients....yeah, parabens...

Swatches:

After about 3 or 4 hours they crease (note that I have super oily eyelids), but over a good primer, like Etude House they stay on fine.
Color payoff? I'd say decent!

Would I buy more? I'm not sure, at the moment, no. But in the future, it's possible, they are cheap and good quality.
Right now I'm more interested in the empty palettes (especially the freestyle ones)...

Christmas giveaway

Yes, this time I really am holding a giveaway! Since my Bday is on 26th December, and it's Xmas and all, I'm planning on finish this fast, so the package may get to the winner in time!^^

Let's see the prizes:

Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer (waterproof, works 10+hours and just awesome, review to come)
Max Factor 2000 Calorie mascara (yes, the famous 2000 calorie, I've been using it for ages)
Oriflame Beauty Gloss Cocoon (Pink Sugar)
Essence Surfer Babe Refreshing Lipgloss (review)
Essence Metallics quatro eyeshadow and gel eyeliner palette (01 Nothing else metals. Inexpensive alternate for Lunasol Lighting for eyes 05 Khaki palette. Realized I haven't posted the review for Lunasol, but will)
Essence Metallics Magnetic Nail Polishes (02 Copper Rulez, 04 Nothing Else Metals)
Essence Metallics Nail Polish Magnet
L'Occitane aprés-shampooing conditioner with 5 essential oils for dry and damaged hair
and
sweeeeeeets =D

Isn't it a bit Essence overloaded? HAHA This latest, Metallics edition is really cool, and these are the best products from the collection. If you wonder what the nailpolish magnet is for....it works with the magnetic nail polishes, moves the metallic particles in the nail polish to create stripes as you want. Fun to play with.

I will ship internationally.

Upcoming black friday & MUFE LEs & giveaway to come

I haven't updated for...what....2 weeks now? Have I mentioned I hate work? I don't have enough time to the things I like to do.

Aaaanyway, are you looking for the Black Friday sales? I do! I'm curious about the "amazing deal" Urban Decay hinted about on Facebook! Time is unsure, but US girls should wake up soon on Friday. I'll take my time. =D

Sigma also has something to make us spend our money on their brushes. Free shipping. Internationally! Yess~ Now, that's something I LOVE to hear! =D Since their brushes are said to be good quality and quite reasonably priced I'm thinking about indulging. I'm eyeing a Duo Fibre brush for base makeup and an Angled Top Synthetic Kabuki brush for contouring.
To get free int shipping on 26 November only(!) you need to use the code: BF2010 at checkout.

Just spotted the Rock LE collection of Make Up For Ever on Facebook. Jeeez, I'm spending all my time on FB tending my farms and restaurant....I'm pathetic >.<
Sooooo, there are 5 sets in the Rock collection, but only 3 of them are worth mentioning and they posted nice stock photos of these 3 sets LOL
Love the studded metallic boxes! *.* Let's see them:

Rock For Ever Aqua Eyes: set of 5 Aqua Eyes eyeliner pencils
Colors are: gold (9L), copper (10L), dark grey (21L), matte black (0L), silver (8L)

Rock For Ever Star Powder & Aqua Eyes

Rock For Ever 4 Eyeshadow Palette
Colors are: Diamond Beige, Diamond Black, White Shimmer, Silver Iridescent

The two other sets: Best of: their usual 'best of' in new LE packaging and Stars & Diamond: 2 Mini Star Powders and a Diamond Powder.

Will you be getting anything? The e/s quad is really tempting^^

Last, but not least, I'm thinking about doing a small giveaway....kinda Xmas giveaway. Originally I planned on doing it for my 200th post and even tho it's not that far away, Xmas is almost here and it's my Bday too, so, why not celebrate it? It's sad to see bloggers I love disappear, not posting and commenting anymore, but I try to stick to this blog and maybe build a constant reader base. Hopeful? Nonsense?
I already have 2 things I'm going to include, but the others I'm not sure about....I'll try to pick things I like and find exceptional.
We'll see, details to come later.

Package from Tavia & Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller

I reached 100 posts! wooot!
This is my 101st post, isn't it great? Okay, it might be nothing compared to other's 1000 or more, but certainly means a lot to me, as I'm new to beauty blogging! ^.^
Gives me strength LOL
So, driven by the high of 100 posts, I decided to hold a giveaway!

The bad news is that this giveaway will happen only when I reach 200 posts or 50 followers! Whichever comes first. Sorry!

These numbers are my current goals, but I'm a jobless college student munching on her last pennies LOL What did you expect?

Before you give up all hope for me, let me show you what my humble self happened to win on Tavia's giveaway over at Chic Profile!

A travel size Nivea hair mousse (have you tried their revamped hair styling stuffs? I love their fruity smell! ^.^), a L'oreal Cashmere Perfect liquid foundation, a Vichy Rehydrating Thermal mask and a lovely bracelet! This bracelet reminds me of MUFE's spring collection!

Thank you so much Tavia! ^.^ Luv ya! <3

Do you girls know her site? If not, then it's time to start stalking her! ;D But do talk to her eventually! She's really sweet and always replies! There are some super popular bloggers out there who don't reply to ever single comment, sadly.....But dear Tavia does!

I haven't tried everything yet, but the Vichy mask was immediately on my face after opening the package! LOL
Reviews will follow of course!

And now, a proper review: Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller
You know, that fun roller to fight undereye puffiness and dark circles!

It has pretty bad reviews over the net, but ever since it was released I wanted one. The roll-on thing being the culprit, of course! ^_^;

What it claims:
In 1 Week: Under-eye puffiness is reduced and women saw dark circles diminished. With Continued Use: The severity of puffiness is further reduced and dark circles stay minimized.
Features:
Eye roll-on applicator stimulates micro-circulation
Caffeine - Decongests puffiness & diminishes dark circles
Pro-Vitamin B5 - Refreshes & hydrates the delicate eye area
Diminishes dark circles
Clinically tested and reviewed by dermatologists and nutritionists.

Now, let me tell you, it does none of the above! Not one thing! Nothing!
Luckily I hardly ever have puffed eyes (as I tend to sleep 10 hours ROFL), so I don't know if it does anything to puffiness, but my horrible, unhealthy looking circles stayed in place.
I've been using it for 2 months (morning and evening), but nothing happened.

The procedure is fun! Rolling and circling and all, and the little metal ball is always pleasantly cold, even tho I don't store it in the fridge.
It gives enough moisture to the delicate under-eye area, but it's nothing special. Just enough to avoid flaky, dry skin going wrinkly.

The amount is 15 ml (0.5 oz) which is quite a lot, considering I've been using it for more than 2 months and only 1/4 of it is gone! When will I finish it? HAHA

It costs about $10, which is pricey for something that DOES NOTHING!
I got mine when it was on sale for 8 or 8.5 USD, but I wouldn't repurchase it.
It's fun to use it, yet totally worthless.

Cellnique Skin Action Sebum Gel + Giveaway of Ariel &Ying

After reading Jen's recent post about Cellique Skin Action Sebum Gel, I realized I haven't written a word about it myself, even tho I've been using it for 2 months already. So, here is my 2 cents.
Not only Jen, but Eki has done reviews for a bunch of Cellnique stuffs, so check it out, if you haven't!

Jen provided great photos of the gel itself and before-after pics too, so I don't have to bother with them LOL I don't even have a before pic anyway....Not to mention I used it on my nose only and just who wants to see pores up close, right? We just look in the mirror, and boom!

A gentle formula designed for comedogenic, oily and combination skin types to reduce both blackheads and whiteheads. This daily maintenance gel also reduces oil secretion, leaving the skin clean and clear
Treating skin problems: Blackheads, Whiteheads, Congestion, Open & closed comedone, Excessive sebum, Control oil
For all skin types.

I got mine from Wuzzyangel's blog, where 100 of her readers could ask for free samples.

So, as I mentioned, I used the sample to reduce blackheads on my nose and hopefully tighten those nasty pores. The instruction it came with said 3 drops, but I found only one was enough for my nose, it would have been a waste to squeeze out 3. I think I'm over 2 months usage now and I'm running on the last bits. Ah, I want it to last two more months! T__T I won't have money until April or May, and only $165 then too monthly LOL

The gel is easy to spread, sinks in fast and fragrance-free. After a week or two I noticed less sebum in my pores and the blackheads started to disappear. In the long run my pores remained tighter, with no black spots, like it fought away dirt and grease! Awesome!
If you strted to use it, stick with it on a daily basis! I don't recommend skipping it, as I done it for two weeks once, all my work went to vein and I could start from the beginning. However, the gel worked much faster after this hiatus (a few days only to achieve the clean state again).

If I wasn't so broken ATM, I'd buy a full size bottle immediately! I've never seen anything that promised such results to work so well!
30ml costs USD55
It's a bit steep....I don't know. Seeing how long the 3ml sample lasted for me and with how good results, I should probably made up my mind to cough out that much money.
Aaaaand....they ship internationally for FREE!!!! Just how cool is that?

There's a giveaway going on at Ariel and Ying's blog!

Go, check it out and stick with them! All 3 girls, Ying, Ariel and J are awesome individuals, you just have to love! ^.^

My giveaway prize & FOTD & Bourjois swatches

First of all, the book I won arrived Today! YEY! Previously I mentioned that I had won a book giveaway on Aik's blog!

mmmm Can't wait to start reading it! But first I want to finish the one I'm reading ATM.
It's actually a signed copy! And came directly from the author, Dakota Banks!

Thank you miss Banks! ^.^

----------------------------------------------------------------

As I went out Today for some shopping (and I mean beauty shopping), and dear Sun cooperated, I took some photos of my makeup:

The weather is snowy and it's friggin' freezing outside, so I went for a cold-ish look.

FACE: Skin79 BB cream Diamond Collection Luminous Pearl
            Sofina Primavista Clear Cover Base
            Kevin Beautymaker Magic Foundation Pen
            RMK Liquid foundation
            NYX Concealer in a jar
            MAC Studio Finish Concealer

CHEEKS: Oriflame Giordani Gold Mosaic Splendor Powder
Oriflame Visions Pearl Shimmer Poder for Face

EYES: I Nuovi metallogy eyeshadows (Champagne and Oxide)
            KATE Gel Eyeliner
            L'Oreal Accord Naturels (for eybrow)
            MUFE Aqua Smokey Eyes

LIPS: MAC Lipglass (Spirited)

Sooo, bought some stuffs at Müller that I'm not showing here as they are presents, and took the chance to swatch a few things.....and I have photos too! wooow My first attempt at swatching in store! LOL The SAs didn't even care about me. Maybe next time I won't be this lucky.

At first I wanted to swatch the eyeshadow quad of Guerlain's spring collection, but it wasn't there. Maybe it's not supposed to be at counters yet? But the plate with with stock photos and all was up, so where was the actual product? o_O
Thus I swatched the new Kiss Kiss glosses, but didn't make notes of the numbers, as it was labeled as new shades. And here at home, checking the Guerlain site I can't find what were those shades....
No, they weren't the pretty lacy Xmas edition ones.
Stupid me! I should have had to write down the numbers! X_X

BUT! I did some work and swatched almost all of the Bourjois Smoky Eyeshadow Trios!

The ones on my hand: Gris Dandy, Mordore Chic, Rose Vintage, Violet romantic, Bleu Rock, Vert Trendy (From top to bottom, left to right):

The colors came out so crappy! And washed out! So sorry! Wish I could show you how the last two trios (Bleu Rock and Vert Trendy) looks in real life!!!!
As I started swatching the first ones, I almost lost all hope that these worthed a penny, but damn! The blue and green trios are so awesome! Never seen anything like them! *____*
I tell you, if you have a chance, go and see for yourself!
I usually restrain myself from this two colors, but daaaamn! I'm so gonna buy these!

Bleu Rock and Vert Trendy have some golden/green/blue sheen to them, under the main color. Think of....uhm butterfly? You know, those exciting, mixing colors on their wings!?
I was mesmerized!
They are ~£7.30 each (dunno the USD) and they well worth the money! At least the blue and green ones do. The other variations were either boring or sheer.

Dark Angel video by Illamasqua & I won another giveaway!

Have you seen this video? I highly recommend it!
Watch it! A girl, named Sophie and her boyfriend were kicked to death by a bunch of scumbags. Sophie died while her boyfriend survived. What was their fault? They dressed and looked different.

Actually I don't like "ravens", heavy metal guys, skinheads and such groups, but I'd never, ever kill them just because of that! Just how STUPID and INHUMAN is this????
And watch the video!

And to share some happy news, I won my third giveaway! wowoowowo YESSS!!!!
I know, I haven't even reviewed the first one, I Nuovi, then there's Stars Makeup Haven too, and now this:

A signed paperback copy of Dark Time by Dakota Banks! Yes, I like...no....wait....love! urban fantasy books! I'm weak, I know! Damn it Harry Potter in the old days, and now Edward Cullen! You brought my downfall! After I finished you and you left an empty space in me, I reached after vampire themed books and that brought along weres, withches, pixies, elves, demons, succubus and more...Thanks!

♥ Luv Ya! ♥
