Kenzoki Ice-Cold Eye Cream

As I've mentioned in a previous post, I'd hauled several Kenzoki products to finally try them out. One of these produts is the Ice-cold Eye Cream.
Ice-cold refers to the fact that it's recommended to be kept it in the fridge to maximize its effect. It sounds cool - literally too- but for me it was a hassle...getting to the kitchen, in the morning, in a zombi-like state is no fun (plus extra time LOL). What's with all those walls and steps and occasional stuff I left on the floor last time I was awake?!? They hurt!

Description: "Illuminates, Smoothes, Rests

Watch out eyes! Eskimo cream to show bags and dark circles the door and wake up the sleepiest eyes every morning. It can be kept in the fridge to optimize its enlivening and regenerating properties."

It sounds good, but in fact it does nothing except for moisturizing enough not to make my eye area into a desert. I saw no improvement regarding dark circles and I strongly believe its "enlivening and regenerating properties" are thanks to be kept in the fridge.

The chilled cream is indeed pleasant, and it did not irritate my eyes (much).
If I used it in room temperature (not putting it into the fridge) it was bland. A simple moisturizer, nothing special.

The pump head could be more precise, as mine used to unload either too much or too little with one pump.

Packaging is simple, I found no fault in it.

However, I find the price (45 EUR for 15ml) a bit too high for an eye-cream which does nothing beside moisturizing and the cooling effect comes from the refrigerator. You could use a simple moisturizer and some icecubes sans the coctail and it's cheaper.
Basicly you pay for the brand name. Even though this is not in league with the hyper-super-mega-über expensive eye-cares, but not many of us can afford those, right?

Biotherm Aquasource Yeux Non-stop

Hahaaa, again a post that will train your neck muscles! HAHA
Sorry, I'm really angry at Blogger for rotating my photos for no reason....

Biotherm Aquasource Yeux Non-Stop Oligo-thermal gel.

I'm kinda late with this review, coz I finished this eye cream a while ago (thankfully), but I felt like I HAD to share my experience.
Since I found the Aquasource Non-stop Oligo-thermal Gel for face quite good (here) I thought that it'd be good to try their eye product from the same line...
How wrong I had been!

Description:"Aquasource Eyes is an ultra-moisturizing water gel containing active moisturizing ingredients locked inside it, which continuously hydrates the skin so as to freshen up the expression."

Here are the ingredients:

Well, the gel feels nice when applied, sinks into skin fast and won't leave behind weird, sticky surfaces to disturb the application of makeup.

Even if it doesn't claim to do so, I expected some kind of help with my dark circles....you know, tiredness is part of the reason of them appering. Tiredness means driness for such delicate areas, thus moisturizing it would help somewhat.
Well, it did not. Not even a little bit. And to tell the truth, it didn't do anything to moisturize my skin. It stayed dry. Two usage a day (morning and night) was barely more than nothing, so I experienced with increasing the amount I applied per usage, with no success, then I even tried to pat on some more, when I was finished with the makeup.
Why?
Because my under-eye area was so dry that both foundation and concealer sit ugly in the dry patches, enlarging the problem!
The extra gel patted on afterward helped somewhat with the concealer....for an hour or so. Then it looked the same again.

This eye gel was such a huge disappointment! The Aquasource line seemed so promising, yet this little member let me down big time.
Especially if I think of its price.
It goes around 50-60 USD and the amopunt is 15ml, which is extremely pricey considering it does nothing!

All in all, Biotherm Aquasource Yeux Non-stop Oligo-thermal gel is a waste of your money! Spend that amount on something else!

Méthode Jeanne Piaubert - Irilys

After I arrived to Georgia my very first beauty related victim was this Méthode Jeanne Piaubert Irilys anti-agening, anti-fatigue eye contour cream gel.

I was in deep need of an eye cream when I decided to try this brand. If you don't know Méthode Jeanne Piaubert, then here is a short history of them. I'd never used anything from the brand, but had known that in Hungary it can be found only in expensive beauty salons and one department store had one or two products, so I was like 'why not' and ran home to try it.

Description: "For dual anti-ageing and anti-fatigue action, this unique care combines structuring, draining and moisturising active ingredients in an exclusive multi-layered structure.

The fine skin on the eye contour regains its density, structure and softness."

The packaging is nothing spectacular if not for the spatula it comes with. Not all eye creams come with a spatula, right? It's really useful, I don't have to put my finger into the cream spreading bacteries and risking skin irritation, but it's recommended to clean or disinfect the spatula after every time you used it. And that is just sooo annoying! Who has the time for it every morning and night?

The texture is somewhere between gel and cream, and you can clearly see them. I tried to capture it, and maybe the photo above shows it better than the one below, just click on it.

You can see the green 'creamy' part with the shiny shimmers and the clear 'gel' around it. They are not like water and oil in the same package tho, you can't get one without the other and the texture is quite homogeneous.

The shimmer doesn't show at all on skin yet it helps to brighten the dull area.
As you could see in my previous post, my under-eye circles are still very much there, but this gel helps with them....now imagine the original! bwahahaha

I had a problem with dryness around the eyes too. No matter how much and what creams I put on, it was the same dry skin and both foundation and concealer sat into the fine lines (which are still present) and the dry cracks in an unsighty way.

With this I said good-bye to dryness and the fine lines aren't that prominent either.

I'm not saying this is the best eye cream ever, coz I have the feeling that it isn't, but it's not bad, and I like it very much, maybe I'll buy another one. Its usual price is around 53 EUR, so not the cheapest thing ever, but considering I bought mine in late November and now, nearing the end of March I still have about 1/4 of it, it's not that price-wise. You need just a little for both eyes, so the 15ml you get for your money lasts for a long time.
