Shu Uemura Silk Cushion Cheek Blusher

A heavenly product I think should be permanent is the Silk Cushion Cheek Blusher of Shu Uemura. I don't dare to claim it a HG, but it's high on my favourites list!

The texture is like nothing I've ever experienced: silky yet soft like a marshmallow at the same time. I'd expect it to be crumbling under my fingers but it jiggles as you can push it around.....which makes you giggle! :D

Rose Quartz

Rose quartz is a beautiful pink that looks natural and effortless.

Orange Quartz
Orange quartz must be flattering on warm skintones.

NOTE: make sure to use the right type of brush suitable for cream products, like my favourite dual-fiber HD blush brush of Japonesque!

Shu Uemura Tint In Gelato Lip and Cheek Color in PK02

Shu Uemura's Tint in Gelato is a 2-in-1 product. Can be used as liptint or as blush.
Its texture reminds me of souffle. Fluffy and lightweight. Gelato is such a good name for it.

The sponge applicator packs just the righ amount of product on your lips (haven't tested on cheeks...sorry!) to get an opaq finish. You can go light but you can go layer it for ohlalaaa strong lips.
Since this is a liptint, it fades evenly, leaving a nice "tint" behind. Personally, I consider liptints the perfect lipsticks.
The color is PK02 which stands for Milky Framboise. Mmmm sounds tasty!
5,4g costs 28 USD

Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited & reason for lack of photos

I happened to score a Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited on ebay for cheap. It came from Canada and I was worried because their postal system is famous for losing packages, but thankfully I received it safely and relatively safe. Last year I showed the first Shu lippie I had, Rouge Unlimited Crystal Shine. This time I present you the "plain" Rouge Unlimited line through the color BG904.

This time I did take proper photos! =)
BTW, lately I wasn't able to take photos as much as I wanted. The reason is on weekdays I wake up too early to have any lighting and by the time I arrive home form work it's already dark. That leaves weekends for photos. And half of my weekends I spend at home (I mean home home, with my Mom) and that meanss no photos.
Since I don't want to fall even more behind with reviews, I am (and probably will) post less photos taken by myself. Except cases when I did have the time and willpower to photograph....like now! LOL

Description: Breaking all boundaries in color creation. High-tech, high-pigment lipstick for unlimited color variation and colors. Achieve the truest color payoff with rich texture and ultra-smooth application. Enjoy up to 8 hours of moisture and color.

The color is gourgeous, a nude beige with pinkish tones. It was quite hard to catch it on pics as it didn't want to appear at all.
Indeed nude, right?

Does it have shimmer? Well, it does give a nice silvery shine, so there must be some kind of shimmer in it, but it's so small I can barely see it.
The texture is creamy and doesn't dry out lips, nor sits into lines. However, it still disappears fast. With Rouge Unlimited Crystal Shine a half hour was terribly fast, with Rouge Unlimited it' 1-1,5 hours it depends on you eating/drinking or not. That's way better. Since I don't like long lasting lipsticks (because they are drying and wear out in a disgusting way) I will have to stick to reapplying every now and then.

Crystal Shine was glossy while Rouge Unlimited is creamy. Also it leaves lips feeling moistured.

Retail price is USD23. Now, what if I said I bought mine for $10 in an auction? Including shipping? Much better, right? Personally, for the original price I wouldn't buy it, but for 10 bucks? Of course I'm on it! =]

Need Your help!

After the last incident on ebay, I thought I'd ask your opinion first.
I want to give myself a brush set for Xmas =] But I can't fork out 100-something bucks.
So, I found this on ebay, for 40 dollars: 9 brushes. Supposed to be shu uemura.

I'm asking all of you who has shu stores close or has their brushes or seen them in person, enlarge the photos and tell me, are they original? Coz I'm not sure...9 brushes for that price?
And the case...I haven't seen such. Brush cases ever been revamped?
And there are any brush that has "badger" written on it?

It's weird coz on the shu site there are brushes on the ad photos that I can't find among the available ones...and they look like some on the photos above.

So please girls, if you can, help me! This is not an available brand in my country and I don't want to pay a lot for something fake.
Thanks! ♥

Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Replenishing Eye Mask & Red:Juvenus Line Release

Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Replenishing Eye Mask ($45)

First, I'd like to talk about Shu Uemura's Depsea Moisture Replenishing Eye Masks. They are specially made for eyes and I'm in love with them!

Let's see what they claim to do:
A hydrating, fresh sheet mask that intensely moisturizes dehydrated areas of the eye in five minutes. The new shape of the mask perfectly covers the eye contour to significantly minimize the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. Each mask contains Depsea moisture essence for an instant moisture recharge. Depsea water and three seaweed extracts are boosted with hyaluronic acid, caffeine and ruscus root extract to immediately moisturize dehydrated eyes, smooth out fine lines, and diminish signs of fatigue for a healthier look.

A product that actually does what it says!
After thorough cleansing, put it under your eyes and leave there for 5 minutes, then gently pat the remaining moisture into skin. Says the instruction. I left it on for like...10 or 15 minutes? 5 mins is just too short! The pads are so rich with moisture that I had to wipe the remainings out of the sachet and put on my face....couldn't let it go to waste, right? ^__^

It has a cooling effect. After i took it down, my undereye area felt cold and somewhat numb! o_O Actually, it was a good, refreshing feeling...and OMG my fine lines (which have been there from the time I can remember) got filled up! Err..they were barely there! After the very first usage! It didn't last long though...maybe 1 or 2 days. It's definitely for immediate rescue, don't expect a miracle that lasts and lasts and lasts.

Dark circles? Oh, I have 2 decent ones! =D And they became a bit faded. Not entirely, one treatment isn't enough to make them disappear. Sadly.
Depsea.....what is 'depsea'? Is that supposed to be 'deep sea'?
All in all, I have nothing to complain about...I'm totally pleased.

Now onto the news:

Shu uemura launches a breakthrough in skincare technology to prevent first signs of aging such as dull skin, loss of elasticity, and fine lines. red:juvenus is designed to protect against free radicals and vitalize skin cells by enhancing the flow of essential elements for youthful, radiant skin.

Ah, yes! Finally! A shu uemura line for those youths who has their first fine lines and/or wrinkles. This calls for me! Actually I don't have problems with wrinkles...if I use the right moisturizing creams regularly. But the fine lines under my eyes make me go crazy! Is this normal? I'm 23! Shouldn't one start using preventing stuffs around 30? Nevermind.
Red:juvenus consists 5 products which are:
  • VITALIZING REFINING LOTION ($40)
  • INTENSE VITALIZING CONCENTRATE ($85)
  • VITALIZING RETEXTURING EMULSION ($75)
  • VITALIZING RETEXTURING CREAM ($75)
  • VITALIZING LINE REDUCING EYE ESSENCE ($65)

Nah, they are pricey. Okay, not THAT pricey, but definitely a no-no for my college budget. HAHA Do they worth the money? I really hope so! I'm planning on investing on the concentrate and maybe the eye essence too in the future. Better going against time now than waiting and fighting full spread wrinkles. Yuck.

Oh, and now shu uemura website offers complimentary shipping for any red:juvenate product! No promo code needed! =D

Shu Uemura - Madonna Sticky & Sweet Tour's "Eye-conic" Look

Artistic Director Gina Brooke Creates Custom Diamond Eye Shadow As Part of New Madonna Look for Sticky & Sweet 2009 Summer Tour.

YEY Isn't that great?

Inspired by Madonna's hit song "Ray of Light", Brooke transforms Madonna's eyes nightly by applying a mixture of crushed, small flawless diamonds and white eye shadow to her lids. "The resulting brightness and glow from Madonna's eyes captivate the audience and reinforces the fact that there are always new possibilities with make up - and no rules," commented Brooke.

Okay, that's not too original, is it?

Beginning with Madonna's beautiful eyes, Brooke adds shu uemura's Pressed Eye Shadow ME White 906 (form lash line, blending softly up to brow bone) to provide a soft, gorgeous light-reflecting, diamond-like effect. "Since she is playing big stadiums, I decided to further enhance the shadow's diamond-like effect by using real diamonds around Madonna's eyes while was on stage"

Too bad they didn't post more photos...and in better quality! I'd love to see it close up.

This sketch looks better than Madonna above...=DD *is evil*

Anyhow, too bad I won't be able to go to her concert. I'd love to see her in live at least once in my life. She's a phenomenon and the thought that she wears Shu Uemura make-up on stage would be mind blowing. I'd be paralyzed! HAHAHA

"A little sheen helps enhance the eyes and gives an instantly younger appearance. Madonna is always up for trying new things and I think all women should feel comfortable experimenting and enhancing their beauty on stage or off."

Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Crystal Shine

Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Crystal Shine PK313S ($23)

Crystal brilliance with dimensional shine. Enhance the lips with luminous colors and crystal-like shine. The light gliding formula melts onto lips wrapping them in a delicate veil of comfort. Satin finish.

This is the basic Rouge Unlimited topped with more shinig. As the name implies Crystal Shine. Holding it in your hand you can see those 'crystals' but once on the lips they disappear and form into something juicy, watery.

The packaging, i mean the tube is something you can't find everywhere. I love how i can see what amount is left in the tube. And it's actually pretty.

Mine is a pink color, but as the stock photo shows, it looks more like rose and brown...the actual lipstick looks the same. But you put it on and voila:::

With flash...

Without flash.....

See how pink it turned out? Pretty, isn't it? I like how it looks on me. Don't like deep or strong colors, so this is a perfect match.

My only problem is staying power. That sucks big time. When I don't wear anything on my lips I always have to lick it....it's a quite dry area for me. But when I have on any balm or lipsticks, glosses I don't do it. Who wants to lick off her l/s??? I do not!

Well, after a half hour it disappears!!! o__O I don't know how and where to, but it definitely doesn't stay on me, which is disturbing. I don't wan't and can't touch up every hour or so.

Considering it sells for $24 and goes a short time, thanks to the low staying power, it's a bit pricey. I wouldn't mind paying if it would stay on me. Not to mention I have it in 4 colors! hah One green, which gives only shining, an orange, this pink and a beige one. They all look pretty, though the orange is not exactly a match for me, but my favourite is this pink.

Shu Uemura Primitribe fall/winter collection

Shu Uemura's fall and winter collection is not something you'd expect with those vibrant yellow and blue colors, right? But looking at the model, it says 'it's the quiet, sleeping time of nature but i still carry the freshness, life that will bloom next spring'. At least that's what it says to me.
I wasn't too impressed at first glance but those 2 eyeliners bugged me and took a closer look.

Painting liner ($24)

The formula has an ultra smooth, soft, creamy texture with vivid color payoff that allows you to draw long continuous lines without flaking. The freshly applied color is waterproof and smudge-proof. All shades are blendable to create a unique custom look.
There's 11 colors to choose from. That's pretty good in my book.
yellow, gold, silver, brown, green, night blue, vivid blue, turquoise, purple, white, black
I'm sold to yellow, vivid blue and purple.

Primal Color Stick ($30)

New eye shadow sticks have a creamy texture that dries to a powdery finish. The formula glides on easily allowing for smooth application and blendability on the eyelids. The unique slant cut tip of the color stick enables precise control of application and the twist-top packaging makes it easy to apply color on the go.

I'm not a fan of stick eyeshadows. Rather, I don't like them at all. This comes in 4 shades:

gold, brown, green and purple

Not something i'd pick from this wide range....

Primal Mix Blush ($24)

Duo-color blush palette combines fresh, soft shades that add a healthy, warm and natural glow to the skin. The unique color combination can be blended and applied to the face in one stroke or used as individual shades for further accents.

This comes in 3 shade combination: pink, peach and amber. I'd vote for peach and pink. The one above is amber. This is something I'd like to put my hands on. I'm sure the one on the model is pink. Isn't it beautiful?

Overall, the packaging for this collection is pretty. Not overdone, but funny enough to cast away the depressing feelings of fall.

There is a set of false lashes too, mixing black and vibrant blue, yellow, green and pink.

Also, matching lipsticks are: Rouge Unlimited in shade 296 and 942. Latter is beige with a hint of orange, first one is something rose-brown-burgundy. Can't tell.

Nail colors are a light pink and a stronger shade...like magenta, I think.
