Clarins Bright Plus HP Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel

After all the makeup posts let's see a little skin care: Clarins Bright Plus HP Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel
Phew quite a long name^^

Click for ingredients

What it does: "Refreshing exfoliating lotion casts off dull, discoloured surface cells — speeding cellular turnover for a brighter, more even skin tone. Gently fades-away freckles and dark spots for a brighter, younger-looking complexion. For maximum results, use twice a week followed by Bright Plus HP Intensive Brightening Mask. Patent pending."

Here is the description on the leaflet:

So, in two or rather three little statements:
I have not seen any fading of freckles nor had my pores became nonexistent. Besides that all the other claims are true.

I like to use it, it does not burn or irritate my sensitive skin, I feel like my skin is fresher and younger looking. But it might just be my imagination.
Mark my word, I do not own the recommended mask or other products to use as a follow-up treatment, but this doesn't justify the ineffectiveness of the lotion against freckles and dark spots. At least a tiny little bit of difference could be expected, right?

Maybe if you use all the products from the Bright Plus HP line you will see great results, but I'm notoriously against owning full skincare lines since one (or more!) product will not work for me and my skin will hate it and me for it!

A 125ml or 4.2oz bottle sells for 38USD but Clarinsusa.com often has promotions so keep an eye on them. If nothing else, wait until a Friends and Family sale.

Strawberrynet sales

I'm a huge fan of StrawberryNET.com. They provide free, safe and fast worldwide shipping and super prices. They have loyalty bonus too, up to 10%. There are big sales too. Frequently. Like now. 50-65% off.
To see the complete list of items, click here.
Some things I'm digging:

Anna Sui Liquid Eyeliner - $11
Bobbi Brown Protective Face Lotion (50ml) - $22.50

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (Nectar) - $20
Clarins Expertise 3P Screen Mist (100ml) - $21
Clarins Express Compact Foundation - $19

Scott Barnes Crem Foundation - $14

Dolce&Gabbana Lipgloss - $21.50

Smashbox Eyeshadow - $10

Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss - $9.50

And many more....

NOTE: these are unboxed items, so you will not receive the box of the item, only the product itself. Personally, I don't mind it because I'd either throw out the packaging or store it somewhere which is just silly. And you can be assured the product will be untouched too. I bought several unboxed items from Strawberrynet and never any one of them had the tiniest hint of being opened and/or used.

Clarins Truly Matte Foundation

No miracle, but a very good oil controlling foundation.

Suitable for all skin types but particularly suited to combination or oily skin in need of shine control. This non-oily foundation quite simply delivers it all: coverage without thickness, radiance without shine, a fresh, natural look at anytime and protection combined with total comfort.

I have it in Soft ivory and for my surprise it matches me well. Usually I need light beige shades, since i have very pale skin. No swatches yet, sorry! Well, it blends well and leaves no mask signs. My T-zone becomes oily throughout the day and i don't like touch-ups, so I'm always in find of the perfect foundation.

With Truly Matte I still get oily forehead, but not that remarkably like with others. And that's a good point in my book. Maybe in winter when there's no heat I'll have better results.

The feeling is average. Comforting? Yes. Doesn't dry. Definitely not heavy but you can still feel it on.

Aaaaand.....it has SPF15, which is a must!

Caused no break outs or irritation, which is good news for those with sensite skin. I had some issues with Maybelline and L'oreal liquid foundations some time ago. I even had allergic reactions, nasty zits with scars and took a long time to cure myself out of it.
