Yves Rocher Hydra Specific Soft Foam Cleanser

I haven't given up on Yves Rocher yet. However, I do want to, coz their skincare is not good enough IMHO, but I keep giving them another chance...

My latest "let's give them another chance" haul ended up with a try-out kit with three mini products for ~5 dollars (review to come) and this foam cleanser. And you know what? First time I went shopping in Georgia I had to realize that Yves Rocher is present here too! OMG this must be an omen or something.....@.@

Anyway, you might know that foam cleansers are extremely popular in Japan due to its softness and good ability to cleanse thoroughly. First, I was sceptical about how a bubbling foam texture would be able to remove makeup (even the waterproof ones), for God's sake, it's mostly air and a little creamy stuff!!! But I was convinced. Okay, this is the first foam cleanser I've tried so far, but I don't particularly fancy Yves Rocher and Japanese skin care is just plain goooooooood (no matter which brand) so that means that any foam cleanser coming from Japan must be faaar better than this and this results in me being a fan of JP foam cleansers!

Now, that I've written down 'foam cleanser' about a billion times, let me introduce you to Yves Rocher's bubbling cleanser (yay) of the Hydra Specifiy line: Soft Foam Cleanser.

Description: "My new makeup removal routine. Soft Foam Cleanser lathers into a creamy foam to clean my skin with mildness. When rinsed, my skin is supple, sparkling and ready for facial care. Spray 150 ml / 5.0 fl oz.

The US site also has a little how-to guide:

Deposit a dollop of foam onto a cotton pad or into the palm of your hand. (1min)

Apply evenly over a damp face, using light massaging movements. (1min)

Rinse with water, then gently dry skin. (1min)

Does it cleanse? Oh yes, it does! Quite well! The only thing that needs a second thorough rubbing is waterproof mascara. Anything else is removed without trace, my skin is left squeaky clean. I would say the only drawback is that it cleanses too well: it strips my skin of everything and thus dries it out. During summer it wouldn't be much of a problem, but now that it's winter.....I don't like scratching my face all day long because no heavy facecream can penetrate deep enough to make up for the damage this cleaner caused.

All in all, this is a great cleaner for summer time, but I would never recommend it for winter, especially not for those with dry or sensitive skin.
Price wise it's a good catch too, it sells for USD15...but don't forget that Yves Rocher has sales ALL the time, so it costs even less ;)

Yves Rocher - Sebo Specific - Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser

Yet another Yves Rocher test! HAHA
Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser from the Sebo Specific line.
With its special soft texture, Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is the primary purifying gesture, so vital for oily and combination skins.
Combined with the Botanical Flavonoids Complex, its exfoliating microparticles:
- eliminate all traces of impurities
- gently clear the pores.
Result : The skin breathes again, it is visibly healthy, clean and fresh.
The Plus : Its exfoliating micro-particles gently cleanse the epidermis.

A 5.0 fl.oz / 150 ml bottle retails around USD7, which is quite good IMHO.
The cleanser itself is gentle enough for daily use and has a mild citrusy scent. Cleanses well, the particles meant to exfoliate are soft enough to use it even twice every day without being harsh or causing irritation, etc.
The plastic bottle has no dispenser, whatever but the 'jelly' inside slides fast, so you can get out the last remains too.
Do not expect whoa results, there's none.

Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser does exactly what it promises, and for great price.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna repurchase or not. I'm pleased with it, but might want to wander around and search for other cleansers too.

Yves Rocher Culture Bio Awakening Cream

A new youthful radiance, all day long. Stimulate and revive the radiance of your skin. Ideally moisturized, protected and replenished with vitality, your face is radiant, your skin luminous.
A soft, non-oily cream with the invigorating fragrance of Peppermint.
11 organic plant extracts combine their natural properties to stimulate the senses, hydrate and protect the skin against external attack. Make-up is easier to apply, you are assured of a radiant complexion.
Ideally hydrated and protected, your skin looks radiant. It radiates vitality. Excellent as a base for make-up, it ensures a luminous color.

Yves Rocher's Culture Bio line is promising. Or should I say, it's better than the general products? To tell the truth, I'm more of a "synthetic-whore" than a "bio-lover". I find the products made of synthetic material or rather mixed-and-altered-to-the-utmost-and-not-anymore-natural-substances workbest for me. Somehow the so called "bio" items do nothing or very little for my skin, yet, I keep giving chance to them.
This Awakening Cream (or Wake Up Cream in other countries) is one of these bio stuffs.

It's not bad, hydrates and all, but...there's no "boom" you know, that something about a cream that makes you charmed. Unless it's the scent one's enchanted by. The description says it's peppermint, I had found it more like camphor. I was worried at first, for my eyes not tolerating anything scented near them. Fortunately this cream did not irritate my eyes! YEY

One 50ml tube (1.7 oz) costs $27 or £12 which I still find slightly much for a cream doing nothing special, just being a decent moisturizer, but there are big sales going on all the time at Yves Rocher, so if you're a lover of organic skin care and need a good moisturizer (and not taken aback form the scent of peppermint or camphor), then wait for such a sale and grab an Awakening Cream.

Yves Rocher - Active Sensitive Soothing Decongesting Eye Care

Yves Rocher grew close to me in the last months. Partly, becoz they have a store near where I live now. (But I can't stand their SAs....they are push-yyyyyyyyyy and dumb with old fashioned skincare knowledge)

Anyway, I had to pick up a new eye-cream, but didn't have the $$$$ to buy expensive ones, so I thought why not try Yves Rocher ones....thus I ended up with Active Sensitive Soothing Decongesting Eye Care. Pheww~ What a long name^^ It's only how it's called in my country. You might find it as "Anti-Puffiness Eye Gel".

What it says: Sensitive skin requires gentle, yet expert care. The eye area is very fragile and it deserves special attention. Active Sensitive formulas help your skin become resilient to external aggressions.
Pack away those bags! Vegetal Sophorine’s formula is effective in soothing fragile skin. This fresh gel instantly decongests to reduce puffiness, bags and signs of fatigue on even the most sensitive eyes. Instantly soothes and comforts.
The Plus : Clinically tested on sensitive eyes and wearers of contact lenses, under ophthalmological, dermatological and allergist supervision.
The squeeze tube contains 15 ml (0.5 oz) creamy gel that becomes watery when on skin and absorbs fast.
Thankfully this IS a cream developed for sensitive eyes. I've met some that stung when it get accidentally into my eyes, but this isn't!

Does it work? Fights puffiness? Honestly, I don't know. If I lack sleep I don't get puffy eyes, the terrible discoloration under my eyes is the only sign. The few times I had bags I didn't slep more than 4 hours for days. This hasn't happened since I started using this gel, so I couldn't test it.
Dark circles? It does nothing against them, but nothing works for me =(

If you have sensitive eyes and want something to hydrate your skin around eyes then this is a great stuff. Might even help after a hard-party-night. But if you want wrinkle-treatment, SPF (for the summer) or hardcore dark-circle fighters, then look elsewhere.

Even though I have half of the tube left, I'm already thinking of what eye cream to buy next, but I doubt any could beat the 10-15 USD price tag while making no mistakes.
