YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain Plump Up in 200 Plump Up

Are you a fan of YSL? A fan of the Glossy Stains? Want something clear for a no-makeup makeup?

If you gave 3 'yes' then you should try the latest member of YSL's Glossy Stain family: Plump Up (200)

Description: "Introducing the first Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain Plump-Up for long-lasting volume impact! Give your lips an instant push up effect from the first application. Enjoy the invigorating and hydrating effect thanks to the hyaluronic acid enriched formula. Instantly Lips look fuller and voluptuous with shine that lasts up to 6 hours. Available in one universal shade, layer under any YSL lip product for a couture lip or alone for a naturally full look."

Hyaluronic Acid? I'm SOLD!
I shouldn't be so shallow, but I want anything containing it.....how did humankind or my humble person ahem existed before HA punched us in the face and sneaked into our drawers/shelves?!?!?!

So, this gloss promises to plump up your lips. How should I put this.....
If you expect to see Kylie Jenner lips in the mirror....hello vacuum pumps LOL....you'll be disappointed.
6 hours? Don't make me laugh....not even if you cease to eat, drink and speak. [did not put up to the test tho...]
Beside the basic hydration and optical illusion this has no special feature. :(

Anyway, it is *sparkle**sparkle*YSL, so I love it. Not so much the 36 USD price tag, but oh well...anything for my beloved! :D I don't want them to go bankrupt ROFL

Do you need this?   I don't think so.
Got 36 bucks to spend? On just about anything?    Then buy it!

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in 19 Beige Aquarelle

I bet you have met the following lipstain one way or another: YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in 19 Beige Aquarelle.
I must admit: I am a sucker for everything YSL. Okay, not for their mascaras, but hey, I have a till-death commitment with another brand. >.<

Whenever I come across a duty free in any airport with even the least time for shopping, I must stop at the YSL counter to see what they have in stock.^^ Even tho I try to behave myself and ask myself if I really need that gazillionth pink/mauve/rosy/nude lippie, sometimes the dark side wins. That's how this sweety ended in my purse =D

Description: "Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain combines the texture and shine of a gloss with the long-wear of a stain for a truly innovative lip product. A lightweight texture that immediately melts onto lips. Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain delivers intense glossy colour for an extremely long lasting new kind of shine. The applicator’s unique slanted tip and short soft bristles allow for flawless application with perfect precision"

The applicator is indeed precise, I need to dip it back to get enough to cover the upper and lower lips.

Texture is sticky which doesn't bother me until I happen to lick my lips....no bad taste, just....do NOT press your lips together! Gross! #_#

Beige Aquarelle is a nice pinkish beige. Not a strong one and I like that. Sadly it won't stay on all day long but at least you can pull out this chic piece and reapply! ^.^

Price is 35USD and you can find the ingredients on the website (I'm way too lazy to copy-paste it here LOL)

Shu Uemura Tint In Gelato Lip and Cheek Color in PK02

Shu Uemura's Tint in Gelato is a 2-in-1 product. Can be used as liptint or as blush.
Its texture reminds me of souffle. Fluffy and lightweight. Gelato is such a good name for it.

The sponge applicator packs just the righ amount of product on your lips (haven't tested on cheeks...sorry!) to get an opaq finish. You can go light but you can go layer it for ohlalaaa strong lips.
Since this is a liptint, it fades evenly, leaving a nice "tint" behind. Personally, I consider liptints the perfect lipsticks.
The color is PK02 which stands for Milky Framboise. Mmmm sounds tasty!
5,4g costs 28 USD

Cheap yet cool: BH Cosmetics Lip Glosses

Are you familiar with BH Cosmetics? I've reviewed two of their products before (here & here) and now I'd like to introduce you to the lip glosses of BH Cosmetics.

Description: "A collection of highly pigmented lip glosses in various colors that build creamy and shiny lips. The non-sticky, light weight formula with an easy-to-use brush is the ideal form of gloss that effortlessly creates head-turning lips."

As I'm still in search of the MLBB (my lips but better) lipstick and/or gloss, I gave a chance to these glosses too. They look so promising, right?

The regular price for one gloss is 5.95 USD. Yes, you read it right, less than 6 dollars, and to top it off, BH Cosmetics runs all kind of sales regularly, so whether you buy it 30% or 60% off depends on the time you decide to buy it.

A six-dollars lipgloss which sellf for half of the price sounds fishy? And the company sells those 90-something pieces eyeshadow palettes too! This must must be some major crap, you say?
I'd thought so too, but then it was a pleasant surprise wearing these glosses.

I bought 'Peace, Love & Mod' (top) and 'Office Queen' (bottom). Such cool names, right?

As you can see by the swatches, they are well pigmented and quite nice colors. Sadly they operate with shimmers, which I'm not a big fan of, but at least they are not gritty!
The texture is just a tiny little bit sticky. Not disturbing, it gives just a subtle feeling that you have something on your lips. No need to worry about the glue-effect.

As for the packaging, I like the unusual design, the wide margin. Not the boring full-color plastic tube. And the name of the color is written on the side of the tube, so you don't have to look for the tiny sticker on the bottom with a mignifying glass!

All in all, BH Cosmetics lip glosses are indeed cheap yet cool finds! Recommended!

Missha Lip&Cheek Dual Cream Pot

Being back from vacation I present you Missha Lip&Cheek Dual Cream Pot.

I seem to have more and more Missha products. LOL But they are good so it's no wonder.
MisshaUS.com has sales frequently and I like to use them to the fullest~ This little duo product came from such a sale. It costed me USD9.74 back then. The US site seem not to carry it anymore, but other Missha sites do. I don't really get the point since it's a good product IMHO, worth to keep on shelves.

Missha Lip&Cheek Dual Cream Pot [No.05]
The color is No.5 which consists of a shimmery golden orange and a cute cool pink cream.
You can see the shimmers in the orange however the pink has none of them.

Missha Dual Cream Pot close-up

Below there are swatches in different lightings so you can see how different the pink can look like. I'm in love with it! It's well pigmented but can be worn on cheeks too without problem. However the orange is best for cheeks. Due to the shimmers I found it a bit weird on my lips. Nothing that cannot be worn, I'm just not a great fan of shimmery lip products. And the color is not exactly for my skintone.

BUT! If you're tanned to a bronze godess then do use the orange on both your lips and cheeks! =D

Missha Dual Cream Pot hand swatches

The cream smells like sport creams that have camphor in them. So refreshing~ I love it! *.*
But maybe I have weird taste =D

The whole thing is a tiny little compact which looks cute with all the bling-bling plastic case. It has a little mirror in it and comes with a retractable lipbrush which comes in handy while on the go.

It's totally travel friendly: two colors, safe brush, mirror and it's lightweight!^^

I recommend to get this or any other color combination you can pet your hands on! ;D

Illamasqua Sheer Lipglosses

Yet another Illamasqua post, this time lipglosses.
I told you I had bought way too many Illamasqua stuffs, right? =]

This time I won't write so much, let the glosses talk for themselves: Sheer Lipglosses

Illamasqua Sheer Lipglosses with flash

Colors from left to right: Tantrum, Electrify, Provoke, Soul, Violate

Illamasqua Sheer Lipglosses without flash

Tantrum and Violate are quite badass colors, definitely not for everyday use. However, if you apply just a little of Tantrum and are brave enough for such strong colors, then you'll love it!

Here are the swatches, in the same order:

Electrify, Provoke and Soul are perfect to use anytime. Oh, and Electrify is my favourite :)

All color are still listed as 'on sale', so if you like any, go and grab it until the Illamasqua Summer Sale is still on!
Retail price is 13 GBP but now it's only either 5 or 7.50GBP!

The glosses have a soft sweet scent, and they are moderately sticky. Just a tiny bit. :)

Missha What a Lovely Moments LE Collection - Lovely Pastel

My expedition into Missha Kingdom turned out quite fortunate and the first 'item' I want to show is actually a collection, the Signature 2012 spring-summer limited edition called: What a Lovely Moments.

There are two variations, Lovely Pastel and Lovely Natural. Since natural is a combination everybody owns or owned or will own in their beauty life, I passed it and chose the Lovely Pastel pack. And it turned out to be a good choice...even tho usually I stay away from pastels (not too flattering).

The collection consist of an eyeshadow palette, a lipstick and lipgloss, all from the Signature line. Comes in a sturdy, nicely designed box, and even the products themselves have the LE design, which was made in collaboration with designer Kim JeeHee.
(BTW, if anyone knows Kin JeeHee, plz, enlighten me! >.<)

Anyhow, you can check out the US Missha site and see if you find the collections worthy, or you can buy them individually and still come out at the same price (USD 54,97 is not a bad buy I think).

For the eyeshadow quad you can find an 'eyechart' right under the palette in the box, which surprised me so much that I oohed and aahed....I'm so shallow T__T But I'm used to it being on the bottom of the palettes! So I have an excuse! HAHA~

So, the eyeshadow quad, Lovely Pastel: don't expect strong colorpayoff, cottoncandy pink, green and yellowy white. It's mostly shimmer, but you can make out the colors on your lids. The 'eyeliner' brown is the strongest of the shadows and I actually like to use it.

The lipstick is a beautiful true pink (SPK106), creamy like heaven, simply melts onto your lips, has SPF15 PA+ and comes from the Signature Glam Art line. If you want only this one, you have to pay 15.99.

The lipgloss is also Signature Glam Art, has SPF12 and costs $15.99. The shape of the applicator is quite good. Usually I don't like these slant ones, but I have nothing bad to say about this. The color is more orange than pink, has a decent colorpayoff, so it can be worn alone in its glory or above the pink lipstick. They go well together! ^.^

And here are the handswatches of the eyeshadows, gloss and lipstick.

Essence @Holografics.com Collection

Since I'm moving to Georgia I need to think over carefully what makeup I'm bringing along...I can't just pack  everything I own, right? First, becoz I'd easily surpass the allowed  weight I'm allowed to take and two, I hardly use many of the Essence stuffs. You know, Essence makeup is either a winner or a total crap, but anyway it's not pro enough to use on others. Well, I'm not packing crap, thus tons of them have to stay and since I haven't reviewed most of them, I'll try to post them in bunches (if poosible).

So, this Holografics collection came out late summer-early fall this year (2011) and was so-so IMHO. The most interesting thing was the body oil, but I didn't buy it coz the amount was too much if I found it useless...@_@  I screwed up big time with the refreshing spray from the You Rock collection, but that's another post...

These are the things I bought:

I can't find the nail polish anymore....wonder where it went....>_< Well, it wasn't good anyway...Dunno its name without the actual product, but if you ever find this in a left-over sale somewhere only buy it if you need a top coat that gives your basic nail polish a nice twist by the holographic sheen it creates. Click on the photo to see it in better quality.

The 2 eyeshadows I choose are 01 Gagalectric (blue) and 02 Lilac. Yes, you see it right, Gagalectric XDDD
Their texture is like mousse, buttery. I'd say applying with finger is preferred as brushes and these creams are not the best friends I'd seen. However, this way don't expect precise, detailed application.

Pigmentation is low to medium. No matter how hard you pack on you won't get a perfect coverage. From some angles you'll still 'see through' the shadow. They are wearable colors...until you go out onto the direct summer sunlight. Then you realise these are for either winter (but then these colors for winter?) or hot summer night parties!
But not without a strong primer! That is a must for these to stay in place.^^

The lipgloss is 02 Holoberry. Why berry? There's nothing berry colored in this!? Anyway, it's not sticky, sweet-smelling (but you won't feel it on your lips), the pink base color is sheer and the holographic particles produce a very interesting effect when light hits them. The pink, green and blue paricles make a kind of silver-foiled look. You have to see it in real life to understand what I mean.

Finally the Holographic Eyeliners. The blue one is 01 Blue Ray and the white one is 02 Prism@tic white.
My favourite of the two is Blue Ray. It's not too sparkling so I can wear it anytime and it gives a little ooomph to my eye-look. Pigmentation is better than medium, still, you might want to go over the blue line a second time.
They are surprisingly good! I expected them to smear all around my face but they didn't! They held up well in hot weather too! :)
Okay, don't rub them and use e/s primer, but they are still keepers!^_^
