BH Cosmetics Gel Liner in Paradise

Making a post on the altar of cheap makeup I'm gonna show you a decent gel liner: Gel Liner of BH Cosmetics in the color Paradise.

Eyeliners are crucial as they can ruin any otherwise flawless and/or fabulous makeup if they lack in quality.

Description: "This creamy Gel Eyeliner collection is a dynamite product for your beauty arsenal. Colors range from dark and smoky, to bold and bright. Amazingly versatile, these gel eyeliners also double as smooth eye shadows. Use a precise, slender brush for liner, and a sponge or finger for smudgy shadow effects. Net wt: 3g/0.11oz"

Paradise is a nice warm pink, almost peachy, that you can pull off as a summery day eyeliner. Even for work.
Until someone catches you on their camera with flash on....then it turns into a hello-i'm-hot-here-pink (see below).

With a good brush it is easy to work with. Packs pigment evenly.
Use a good primer underneath as it won't stay on all day long, but no need to worry about it turning into a smudgenado. BTW, have you watched Sharknado2? OMFG It's sooo horrible! XDDDD

All in all, for 7,95USD or rather 4USD (with all the sales going on) it is a very good catch. I think having some fun colors like Fresh or Garden is a good idea!^.^

BH Cosmetics Roll-up Brush Case

For a long time I've wanted a (fake)leather brush roll to hold my brushes while travelling, but always got discouraged by how much they costed. I suck big time at handiwork so sewing my own was out of the question.
Getting to know BH Cosmetics solved this problem of mine tho.

I have some reviews up already (here, here and here) and I'm confident to say that BH Cosmetics are in general quite good and cheap at the same time. (The not so good ones I haven't reviewed yet)

To get to the point: I got my first brush roll from BH Cosmetics and I like it!
While mine is red - there was some kind of sale going on with red brush rolls - the black is still available.

It is totally the same, only the color is different.

Description: "If you're looking for a way to glam-up your makeup brushes, you've come to the right place! Our faux-leather, roll-up makeup brush case, in bold black, is stunning and practical for all makeup users and professionals. This case can keep 15 of our individual makeup brushes clean and safe as you travel! "

Sorry for the lousy background! Anyway, there are 15 pockets -bigger and smaller ones- to hold your brushes, but you can easily store more insides, since the smaller pockets are big enough to hold two of your thin-handle eye brushes. The bigger ones are big enough to fit in the thickest powder/kabuki brushes. And if it's still not enough, there's an extra pocked closed with zip.

I really like that I can pack my brushes and carry them safely when travelling or going somewhere. The brush roll weighs not much and retail price is USD 8.95, which is like Whoa~
Not to mention that BH Cosmetics has sales regularly, so you can grab one for even half price too!

Definitely recommended! ^.^

Cheap yet cool: BH Cosmetics Lip Glosses

Are you familiar with BH Cosmetics? I've reviewed two of their products before (here & here) and now I'd like to introduce you to the lip glosses of BH Cosmetics.

Description: "A collection of highly pigmented lip glosses in various colors that build creamy and shiny lips. The non-sticky, light weight formula with an easy-to-use brush is the ideal form of gloss that effortlessly creates head-turning lips."

As I'm still in search of the MLBB (my lips but better) lipstick and/or gloss, I gave a chance to these glosses too. They look so promising, right?

The regular price for one gloss is 5.95 USD. Yes, you read it right, less than 6 dollars, and to top it off, BH Cosmetics runs all kind of sales regularly, so whether you buy it 30% or 60% off depends on the time you decide to buy it.

A six-dollars lipgloss which sellf for half of the price sounds fishy? And the company sells those 90-something pieces eyeshadow palettes too! This must must be some major crap, you say?
I'd thought so too, but then it was a pleasant surprise wearing these glosses.

I bought 'Peace, Love & Mod' (top) and 'Office Queen' (bottom). Such cool names, right?

As you can see by the swatches, they are well pigmented and quite nice colors. Sadly they operate with shimmers, which I'm not a big fan of, but at least they are not gritty!
The texture is just a tiny little bit sticky. Not disturbing, it gives just a subtle feeling that you have something on your lips. No need to worry about the glue-effect.

As for the packaging, I like the unusual design, the wide margin. Not the boring full-color plastic tube. And the name of the color is written on the side of the tube, so you don't have to look for the tiny sticker on the bottom with a mignifying glass!

All in all, BH Cosmetics lip glosses are indeed cheap yet cool finds! Recommended!

BH Cosmetics highlighter brush and FOTD featuring Illamasqua products

Do you know the brand BH Cosmetics? No? A little while ago I didn't know them either, but I got curious and now I'm thankful I ventured into their realm. Now I own palettes, lipglosses, bases, brushes, brushrolls. And I love them all!

Here I'm showing you a great highlighter brush. Many use blush or overall brushes to apply highlighter, but personally I don't fancy this method. If you want soft features and achieve it fast then it's ok to use them, but I like my brushes to be precise. It's no problem for me to work longer for the finish. If you want sharply contoured face you can't run around with a huge powder or round blush brush, right? I hate long bristle brushes....they bend everywhere but where I want them. @_@

This highlighter brush is smaller than any blush brush but bigger than concealer brushes. I'd say its diameter is similar to the Sigma P84 Precision Angled brush (here), just the handle is shorter. The bristles look long, but they are packed tightly and pick up and place powder/creme/liquid nicely and precisely. *sigh*

It retails for USD 3.95 which is like whoaaaaaa!!!! and BH Cosmetics always has sales on their website. Like right now too! ;)

If seeing the price you think the quality sucks then let me assure you, it's gooooood!!!

FOTD
Nothing special, I just felt like wearing something not so boring. It's summer, after all!

BH Cosmetics Contour & Blush 6 color palette

Venturing into the realms of BH Cosmetics I felt sceptical at first, since their main products (if I can conclude this) are the 88 and 120 color palettes of eyeshadows. I have a 96 or so color palette from another brand (here) and however I would not call it bad, but I could ask for better any time.
Anyhow, the brand has reasonable prices and has several kinds of sales regularly, so it's no wonder I gave in and ordered a contour and blush palette as part of my ginormous haul (here) coz I wanted a stylish palette just for the feel of it and to use it on others too :)

I was surprised by the quality not being dirt cheap. Of course it's not like holding a Chanel palette, but there's nothing shameful about it.

On the back of the packaging box all the palettes available are listed with photos.

The palette itself is sleek, black and matte. Its only fault is it closes so well, that I have to crack my nails every time to open it =D

The six pans are huge, I was surprised when I opened it for the first time.
The colors are super versatile and usable on everyone. the dark brown could be worn by sark skinned ladies too.

Colors are matte (which I prefer) and have good color payoff.
White and brown are for contouring, yellow (top row, in the middle) and peach are good highlighters, while the two rosy/pinkish colors to the right are pretty blushes.

Handswatches without and with flash. Colors are shown in the same order as in the palette.

Retail price is 18.95 USD, but as I said there are sales going on all the time, sometimes up to 50% or more, and that is a steal!
This palette is totally worth its price (even the full price) and would love to try more of BH Cosmetics products, but their ordering page has been screwing me for the last 2 or 3 weeks and I'm unable to place an order!!!! WTF!?!?!?!!?!?
I want to spend my money and I can't? o_____O"
